Despite the fact that talking about new desktop processors Comet Lake’s been going on for quite some time, still it is not known when Intel will introduce them formally. However, much we know about them from the many rumors and leaks and today we have yet another confirmation of the characteristics of the future flagship – Core i9-10900K.
Known source with an alias _ rogame, found in the database benchmark 3DMark is the next entry about testing the system with the flagship Core i9-10900K. This processor, as already known, has ten cores and twenty threads. According to the test, its base clock frequency is 3,7 GHz (this coincides with previous data), while the maximum frequency of the dynamic acceleration up to 5.3 GHz.
Interestingly, before the 3DMark tests were defined for Core i9-10900K the maximum frequency at 5.1 GHz. Previously it was assumed that this frequency is achieved by using Turbo Boost technology. In turn, the frequency of 5.3 GHz was mentioned only in the leaks of the specifications of all processors, but not in the test results – she the processor must be running when you employ technology Thermal Velocity Boost (TVB). But in this case, the processor was probably tested with a more powerful cooling system and were able to develop a higher frequency limit.
In the end, we note that the CPU was tested on the motherboard ASUS ROG Maximus XII Apex, which is apparently built on top of system logic Intel Z490.
