After months of hype, Rihanna has finally launched her career in fashion. The singer together with LVMH launched Fenty.
“Creating this line with LVMH is an incredibly special moment. Mr Arnault gave me a unique opportunity to develop the brand in the luxury sector without any creative restrictions,” said Rihanna in her statement, citing Chairman and CEO of LVMH Bernard Arnault. “I couldn’t imagine a better partner in the creative plan, and in business, and I’m ready for the world to see that we have created together.”
The range of cosmetics Rihanna Fenty Beauty, launched in partnership with the cosmetic business incubator LVMH Kendo in the first year of work earned 500 million euros, which underlines the extent of the influence of the Barbados singer.
Fenty is the first fashion brand, LVMH created from scratch since the founding of Christian Lacroix in 1987. The label will be releasing clothes and accessories, including shoes, sunglasses and jewelry.
