Station “Juno”, which is currently engaged in the study of the Jupiter system, transmitted to Earth new images of the gas giant. As reported on the website NASA, the pictures were taken during rendezvous with the planet on December 21.
On the image we can see two large hurricane: the Great red spot and Oval BA. The latter was formed from three separate hurricanes, which merged in 2000. According to scientists, the Great red spot was formed due to a similar process a few centuries ago.
The image was composed of three images that were made “Juno”, the distance from the camera to the planet ranged from 38.3 thousand kilometers to 55.5 thousand kilometers.
