Ukraine and Hungary are set to find common solutions.
To such conclusion the Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba at the results of her visit to the neighbouring country, wrote V.
“The visit clearly showed an important change – Budapest and Kiev are not on confrontation but on the search for common solutions without crossing the red lines of both countries. The process of convergence occurs, it is not easy, but it’s worth it,” – said Kuleba.
He stressed that diplomacy is the rule: nothing is agreed until all is agreed, and it fully applies to the current situation in relations with Hungary.
According to the Minister, we are talking not only about the bilateral relations. After all, said the Minister of foreign Affairs, Central Europe – region, “pumped muscles”, but in perfect shape it will be only with Ukraine.
As reported, Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba made a may 29 visit to Hungary, where he met with his counterpart Peter Szijjarto.
The Ministers signed a number of bilateral documents, in particular the Protocol on amending the Framework agreement between the government of Ukraine and government of Hungary concerning the granting of the loan under the terms of tied aid and a Memorandum of understanding between the State Agency on energy efficiency and energy saving of Ukraine and the Ministry of innovation and technology Hungary.
Previously, the Hungarian-Ukrainian relations have once again worsened after the Verkhovna Rada adopted the Law “On ensuring the functioning of Ukrainian as the state language”. In Hungary responded negatively to the adoption of this law.
The Hungarian party also sharply criticized the adoption in Ukraine of the law on education, 5 September 2017, providing, in particular, the widespread introduction of the Ukrainian language, including in educational institutions of national minorities.
Despite numerous attempts by the Hungarian and Ukrainian parties to settle disputes by diplomatic means, the full understanding was not achieved. Official Budapest tries to block the Euro-Atlantic initiative of Ukraine.
