Forecasters of the Central geophysical Observatory named Sreznevsky in Kiev define the new climate normal for the period 1991-2020 years on the air temperature and precipitation. As a result of observation during the first three months it turned out that the weather in Kiev has become much more southern. This was reported in the press service of the Central geophysical Observatory im. Sreznevsky.
“By comparing the normal in the 1991-2020 period (January-March) in Kiev and climatic norm in 1961-1990 years (January-March) according to Nikolaev and Kherson, was struck by the fact that under the new rules the capital “moved approximately 400 km South of”, – stated in the message.
At the end of three months of this year in Kiev received a large positive deviation from the previous climatic period. The temperature of January in Kiev warmed by 2.4 degrees Celsius, and February and March, respectively, at 1.9 degrees Celsius and 1.8 degrees Celsius.
