The minimum wage in Ukraine at the beginning of 2019 was 132 euros. This is twice less than in Bulgaria and in 16 times – than in Luxembourg. Statistical office of the European Union were divided into three groups of countries according to the level of the minimum wage. This was reported in the Facebook Chairman of the National Council of economic development Alexey Doroshenko.
So, Ukraine became the first group.
“The first is the minimum wage less than 500 Euro per month. Country-EU members in this group included: Bulgaria, Latvia, Romania and Hungary. The minimum wage ranged from 286 euros in Bulgaria up to 464 Euro in Hungary” – said Doroshenko.
The second group – the minimum salary from 500 euros to 1000 euros per month. It included such members of the European Union, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Estonia, Lithuania, Greece, Portugal, Malta and Slovenia. The minimum wage in the countries started from 506 euros in Croatia and was the highest in Slovenia at € 887.
“Third – the minimum salary not less than 1000 euros per month. This group consisted of Spain, the UK, France, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Ireland and Luxembourg. The minimum wage ranged from €1050 in Spain to €2071 in Luxembourg,” concluded Doroshenko.
