The Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba gave a tough response to the “biased and tendentious comments” officials and the Russian foreign Ministry expressed on 2 and 3 April.
As the Minister said in his Facebook that they “have to exercise a certain pressure on Germany and France as participants in the Normandy format”.
“Besides, they, like many other Russian comments, contain significant inaccuracies, which distort agreed at the moment the status quo; outright false passages in the Ukraine do not correspond to reality,” – said Kuleba.
However, he outlined the points of the clear position of Ukraine in each of the issues raised. First, the Minister noted that a direct “dialogue between Kiev and Donbass” does not exist.
“There are only completely transparent arrangement within a single process and the Minsk of the Trilateral contact group that includes Ukraine (protected), the OSCE (mediator) and the Russian Federation (attacked). Diplomatically urge the Russian colleagues adhere to the current practice and use the language of the Minsk agreements”, – he stressed.
Second, Kuleba has denied allegations that Ukraine is “deteriorating situation with human rights”.
“However, our foreign partners and Russian diplomats know very well that such violations are clearly documented by the Special monitoring mission of the OSCE in temporarily uncontrollable (occupied) territories in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions of Ukraine”, – he stressed.
Thirdly, commenting on the intensity of work of the Trilateral contact group, he admitted its decline, but noted that this is solely due to global trends and measures associated with countering the spread of coronavirus.
“There’s no politicization, only strict adherence to now common security measures and common sense,” – said the Minister.
