The third of August is behind us, and it means that you have less time for traditional summer fun. Alone among them, of course, are the sunrises, each of which is a unique work of art.
It’s hard to say what makes banal the sunrises so beautiful, but in the case of this Informant dawn sure – it’s all in bright colors. And in the background at this time were the Park of Eternal Glory and the monument to founders of Kiev.
The Park of Eternal Glory in its current form (as a monument to the heroes of the war) exists since the middle of last century. In 1957 inaugurated the memorial of Eternal Glory, and there an obelisk with a height of 27 metres of polished granite, on a symbolic “Tomb of the unknown soldier” and lit the “Eternal flame”. In 1975 there appeared the alley of hero cities, stretching from the tomb of the unknown soldier to Laura.
In 2008, the Park was built the memorial to the victims of the Holodomor monument – the chapel “Candle of memory”. In 2009 this place was built a second part of the memorial and opened the Museum “memorial to victims of Holodomor in Ukraine”. However, despite this oppressive atmosphere, the Park is an incredibly beautiful place, especially when there is so cool dawn.
However, inspired by the beauty of the sunrise, the Informant decided to capture it in several places. And the second location, which is fallen, our choice – the monument to founders of Kiev. The monument’s sculptor Vasily Borodai and the architect Nikolai Feshchenko were able to incorporate so perfect image of Kyi, Schek, Khoryv and Lybid, when it comes to the founding of the capital in the first place comes to mind is the image of this monument.
