The first racket of the world Spaniard Rafael Nadal is assisting victims of the floods in Mallorca. Along with other volunteers Nadal was personally involved in the removal of debris and cleaning of garbage after raging on the island of the elements.
These days tennis Academy, Rafael Nadal, is located in Manacor plays host to those who were forced to leave flooded homes. Here in the Academy held a minute of silence in memory of the victims of the floods.
Rafael Nadal was born in Mallorca and spends holidays in his hometown of Manacor. Director of the Academy, the uncle of tennis player Tony Nadal, commented on the actions of a famous nephew :
“Any disaster of this kind affects every person where such natural disaster not happened. But when it happens there when you know people affected, you are involved even more. People show solidarity with those who are in trouble. Rafael was here with his friends when they decided to come to help. And I think this is a very good thing to do.”
