Powerful Typhoon “Mangkhut” reached Friday night, the North-Eastern coast of the Philippines, hit the country, here causing floods and landslides. According to meteorologists, wind gusts reached 285 km/h. “Mangkhut” originated over the Pacific ocean a few days ago. The Japanese meteorological Agency named it the most powerful in this year’s Typhoon.
More than four million Filipinos are in the area, which was a disaster. It is reported that at least two people were killed in a landslide. It disrupted traffic, knocked out a power line, with many houses ripped off roofs, felled trees. Knowing about the approaching Typhoon, authorities in advance evacuated from the coastal areas tens of thousands of people which are placed in specially equipped centers.
