“Mangkhut” swept over the Philippines

Typhoon “Mangkhut” swept on Saturday over the Northern Philippines, leaving behind floods, landslides, destroyed homes and flooded roads. At least 14 people were killed by the storm, several missing.

According to Japanese meteorological Agency, “Mangkhut” was the strongest this year Typhoon. The winds reached 285 km/h, with many houses ripped off roofs, felled trees. It disrupted traffic, knocked out many power lines. The damage is yet to be assessed.

“Mangkhut” already got the 15th Typhoon since the beginning of the year. The Philippines are one of the most disaster-prone countries in the world.
