World day for cultural diversity for dialogue and development
This day was first celebrated in 2003, it was proclaimed by the UN General Assembly in 2002. By its resolution the UN invites States, intergovernmental bodies and non-governmental organizations to inform and explain to the public how valuable and important the diversity of cultures that cultural diversity plays a positive role.
Independence day of Montenegro
Montenegro is one of the youngest independent States. Actually Montenegro was independent in the 18th century, but lost its independence after the First world war and joined the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes. Next was a part of Yugoslavia after the Second world war, in 2003, was in the State Union of Serbia and Montenegro. 21 may 2006, Montenegro held a referendum on independence, this was supposed to be 55%. In the end, voted for 55.5% and that was enough.
