Microsoft improves the immersive reader to the Edge

Microsoft улучшает иммерсивное средство чтения в Edge

Microsoft is actively working to improve their Edge browser based on Chromium. In particular, this applies to the built-in web browser, immersive reader that allows you to read articles and e-books, without being distracted by the design elements of the sites, advertising and more.

The company a few days ago introduced the option to display text from a web page in this mode. This allows you to copy the text and clear it from all distractions, and also customize the color, size, font etc.

In addition, you have the option to be read aloud. This feature is in the Assembly 81.0.394.0, to activate it you need to enable the Edge flag Microsoft Reading View for Selection. He needs to put the status to Enabled, and restart the browser.

In addition, Microsoft has returned the option “Settings-reading”, which was available in the desktop browser. After it starts you can enable the so-called “focus line” to blur the text, except for a few lines.

This feature is available already in the Assembly 81.0.396.0 or newer. In the list of flags you need to choose the Reading Preferences in Reading View, set it to Enabled and restart the browser.
