Microsoft at the Microsoft conference Inspire showed a hologram of an interpreter of the speaker, designed for augmented reality glasses HoloLens 2.
Previously, Microsoft has already showed their progress in creating holographic images, but the translation from one language to another was presented to the public for the first time, it is implemented on the basis of the virtual reality HoloLens.
In new demonstrations, the company has added a hologram transfer. Digital hologram of the participants of the demonstration – the head of the cloud platform Azure – Julie white read out a speech in Japanese.
To do this, the researchers used the technology of text-to-speech, which allows you to broadcast the recorded text-to-speech voice media, even in another language.
No details about the speech technology used by the company for presentation, are not yet available.
