The Ministry of the digital transformation of Ukraine agreed with the National Union of journalists of Ukraine on the implementation of joint educational projects aimed at the digital transformation of regional media and increasing digital literacy of journalists.
As noted in the statement on the website of Minsitry, Ministry and NUJU signed the Memorandum.
Deputy Minister of digital transformation on European integration Valery Jonan stressed that regional, traditional media can reach a qualitatively new level of visibility and impact thanks to digital tools.
“It is very important that this was not some formal use of digital solutions. Local media should approach, guided by efficiency and effectiveness. Then regional media will be able to significantly increase your audience and credibility”, she said.
In turn, the head of the NUJU Sergey Tomilenko noticed that the use of online tools in journalistic practice is a necessity that cannot be ignored.
“Material change in content consumption is pushing the regional media to have its own page in social networks, and websites, and journalists to use digital technologies. Our joint Minziro task is to accelerate the transformation of traditional regional media in contemporary multimedia projects, to help them in these transformations” – he stressed.
