Moody’s has revised the ratings of 6 Ukrainian banks

Moody's пересмотрело рейтинги 6 украинских банков

International rating Agency Moody’s Investors Service on June 16 increased the ratings of PrivatBank, Oschadbank, Ukreximbank, Raiffeisen Bank Aval, Sberbank and Bank “Pivdenny” and revised the Outlook from “stable” to “positive” when it downgraded the baseline credit assessment (BCA) of Ukreximbank from “caa1” to “caa2”, reported on the Agency’s website.

“After raising the sovereign rating of Ukraine to “B3″ by Moody’s upgraded the ratings of six banks. Given that most Ukrainian banks have substantial holdings of domestic government bonds, their BCA is limited by the sovereign rating, and this limit is currently reduced due to the improved creditworthiness of the government,” – said in a release.
