A member of the Duma Committee on international Affairs Anton Morozov welcomed the statement of the people’s Deputy Nestor Shufrych about the legality of the use of the Russian language in official events in the Verkhovna Rada.
“That’s a perfectly fair question. In Ukraine Russian is the mother tongue for the vast majority of residents, our languages are very similar. In Parliament it is much easier to speak in his native language. If Ukraine want the deputies spoke clearly, frankly, and had the opportunity to clearly convey their point of view to voters, they must be given the right to speak the Russian language. I think among the members of Parliament most of those who consider Russian their native language” – quoted Morozov RT.
According to Russian officials, not MPs to impose “Ukrainian movu”.
“It would be logical if in the Verkhovna Rada gave the speech in Russian language”, – he concluded.
Recall, the newly minted MPs from the faction of the Opposition platform For life in the IX convocation of the Verkhovna Rada is scheduled to speak from the rostrum in the language in which they preferred.
