Restart popular youth series “Gossip girl”, scheduled for 2020, is now postponed to 2021-th because of the coronavirus pandemic and quarantine, according to Vulture.
Recall that the original “Gossip girl” was on the CW channel from 2007 to 2012 and totaled six seasons. The main role in the show was played by Blake lively, and Kristen bell was the narrator. Also in the frame were busy Leighton Meester, ed Westwick, Taylor momsen, Penn Badgly and others. At the core of the series was the eponymous series of novels by the writer Cecily von Ziegesar.
The restart was supposed to go on the new streaming service HBO Max, which starts just two days, this fall. Now it is reported that since the shooting was prevented by a coronavirus, the release is postponed until 2021.
It is known that the reboot action will unfold later, eight years after the final events of the original. All existing characters will be new, but Kristen bell returns to the role-over of the author, the gossip girl.
