Residents of Ternopil turned to one of the biggest inventors of our time Elon musk asking him to be in charge of the building of the local textile factory “teksterno” or to allocate land for the construction of a plant for the production of lithium-ion battery Gigafactory.
The petition for authorship of the Novel Kulchitskogo appeared in the Unified electronic system for the filing of a local petition and has gathered 312 signatures of the 300 needed. Now it is the power of Ternopil should consider within 30 days.
According to the author of the document, the construction of the Gigafactory in Ternopil can immediately solve several problems in the city, in particular, it will create new jobs, make the region economically and attractive to tourists, the city budget will receive large incomes, the popularity of the city and of Ukraine in the world will increase significantly and will contribute to the development transport infrastructure: road, railway, airport.
On the construction of the Gigafactory 2 in Europe Elon Musk said at the end of 2016. Since that time he several times referred to this subject, and, according to his last statements, now it is planned at least five such plants. However, where the construction time Musk has not published yet.
Most likely, the Gigafactory 2 will be in Germany, because in November 2016, announcing the acquisition of German manufacturer of industrial robots Grohmann Engineering, Tesla talked about the intention to invest heavily in this country.
So far, the only functioning Gigafactory in Nevada (USA) and is a joint venture with Panasonic. He began production of the batteries (house and cars) in early 2017, and the output of the plant at full capacity is planned by 2020.
By the way, on the website “teksterno” indicates that the factory is the only Ukrainian manufacturer of cotton fabrics with full technological cycle of processing of cotton fiber. Production complex of the company occupies an area of 220 thousand square meters and consists of three factories: spinning, weaving and finishing.
Recall, 22 February the head of the Ministry of Infrastructure Vladimir Omelian said that Ukrainian companies will develop their own high-speed railway technology Hyperloop, which was developed by Elon Musk.
