In the investigation of the crash of the Boeing 737, shot down by a missile in Kyiv on 21 January, representatives of the civil aviation Organization of Iran headed by the Commissioner for investigation.
On Thursday, January 23, reported the press service of the NSDC. The work of the expert group was joined by experts Canada and France.
“On January 22, the experts had the opportunity to see the technical capabilities of reading information from the on-Board equipment flight data recording – the so-called black boxes – the Kiev research Institute of judicial examinations, laboratories of the National aviation University, Scientific and production enterprise “Disk system”, – is told in the message.
On the same day, the Secretary of national security and defense Alexey Danilov has held a meeting with Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Ukraine Manuchehr moradi.
They discussed the further cooperation between the countries for the investigation of the crash. The meeting was attended by extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine in Iran Sergei Burdelak.
23 Jan Danilov met with the Iranian Commissioner for the investigation of the crash on the question of the work of the expert group.
The NSDC Secretary noted the particular importance of Ukraine’s “black boxes”. He stressed that the country is ready to provide the necessary complex of works to read the information.
In turn, the Iranian representative noted that the final decision on further work with the means of registration of flight information will be decided after the report of the Iranian delegation to the leadership about the results of visit to Ukraine and with the requirements of article 26 of the Chicago Convention and Annex 13 thereto.
