Volvo Cars in conjunction with NVIDIA announced the expansion of cooperation. The aim of cooperation is the creation of an on-Board computer with artificial intelligence for a new generation of cars of the future.

The two major manufacturers in a joint project will bring the emergence of fully Autonomous vehicles that use advanced systems of driver assistance, technology, energy management and built-in personalization options.

NVIDIA will develop the onboard computer for the new Volvo
The companies plan to jointly develop a powerful Central processor of the autopilot in a Volvo. It will be based on NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Xavier and integrate into the platform of the Volvo Scalable Platform Arcitecture of the second version. Together with system of the circular review and monitoring of the attentiveness of the driver, the Central computer will bring the emergence of a fully Autonomous Volvo cars.
