Odessa entrepreneurs continue to struggle against the new rules, municipal sewage, which the Executive Committee approved at the end of 2018. We already wrote about the fact that “Infoxvodokanal”, on the initiative of which the regulations were adopted, massively penalizes business for waste water, which if you fulfill all the requirements of the normative act, supposed to be almost sterile.
Employers do not want to put up with the tyranny and are going to sue city hall and monopoly. Well, today it became known that the protests were joined by the port of Odessa branch of the Administration of seaports of Ukraine and the Association of stevedoring companies of the Odessa sea port.
They sent a letter to the mayor of Odessa Gennady Trukhanov with the requirement to change the rules and return the standards for concentrations of harmful substances in the wastewater into manageable level. In Odessa branch of ASPU say that all companies operating in the port, support the initiative, and monopoly just to profit from the business.
“Since the beginning of 2019, there is a big pressure on companies (both state and municipal, and private). Local rules are not just contrary to Government rules that apply to the whole country, but also to establish to consumers the most stringent standards that actually require that the discharged water was almost drinkable!” – said in a letter to the mayor.
Stevedores also outraged by the new rules and require them to reconsider.
“Targets a priori make it impossible for any enterprise to pollution standards. That is, any enterprise that dumps waste water, is automatically a “criminal”, – wrote in his address, the honorary President of the Association of stevedoring companies of sea port of Odessa Yuriy Gubankov.
One of the entrepreneurs, who did not want to publicize his name, told “Duma” that appealed to the Antimonopoly Committee, because “Infoxvodokanal” is a natural monopolist. There the businessman said that in the “Infox” already thinking about revising the rules and even prepared their new version, which the Executive Committee will consider at the meeting on Thursday.
“I have received the new draft rules, but was put in order only two positions, and everything else is left unchanged (city Council member Anna Pozdnyakova said that changed 10 points – Ed.). I passed the Antimonopoly Committee, and there is imposed on the updated rules negative resolution and will order an independent examination of the document, to give its opinion to the Executive Committee,” he said.
