Ursula von der Leyen said that the EU exceeded the target for recovery of Albania after a natural disaster.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said during the donor conference in Brussels collected the amount of 1.15 billion euros in financial support to Albania for the elimination of consequences of a powerful earthquake. According to her, the EU exceeded the target for recovery of Albania after a natural disaster.
“Good news for the people of Albania: we exceeded our target for the recovery of Albania and reached 1.15 billion euros, including the European Union contribution in the amount of 400 million euros. I’m amazed at the support. Europe again stands together when it counts the most!”, – said von der Leyen.
