The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Panama will control the situation with the entry of ships under the Panamanian flag in the ports of Russian-occupied Ukrainian Crimea. Violators will be severely punished. This was announced by Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Yevhen Yenin.
He said that was the first in eight years of political consultations with Panama, during which we managed to agree on three important decisions. The Panamanian side was represented by Deputy foreign Minister of Panama Federico Alfaro Boyd.
The parties agreed to intensify economic cooperation, particularly, in shipbuilding, aviation, hydropower and the like.
It was also agreed to strengthen cooperation between Ukraine and Panama in the framework of international organizations, particularly the UN.
Another agreement concerns the illegal visits of Panamanian ships in ports of the Russian Federation annexed Crimea.
“The foreign Ministry of Panama will take control of the situation regarding violations of the visits to the closed ports of Crimea by the courts, which go under the Panamanian flag – offenders waiting for tough sanctions,” said ENIN.
