The company Badland Publishing, Studio CO5MONAUT and Stas Pisarev will release a 1-bit real-time strategy Death Crown on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch 12 of November. On PC it went on sale in August 2019.
Death Crown is a minimalistic strategy in a one-bit style, inspired by medieval engravings. Russian developers have paid homage to the classics, created for the Apple II in 1980-ies. The gameplay is simple. You need to destroy the enemy fortress, and you have to gather resources (building of the mine or mill, depending on faction), and create troops to attack and towers for protection.
Stick to a long-term strategy in the Death Crown will not work, because you must react instantly to enemy action. The course of each game can completely change in seconds.
Death Crown offers three campaigns with 20 missions in which you control dead people or demons. With a third card for every faction the difficulty of artificial intelligence is greatly increased, and the enemy is ruthless. You will also be faced with 12 bosses. In addition, the project includes a local multiplayer where you can together with each other to unite against the enemies or fight in PvP.
