The European southern Observatory (ESO) has published an incredible shot in big Magellanovo the cloud. The photo shows newborn stars and bubbles around them.
What is Great Magellanovo Cloud? This is a dwarf galaxy that is a satellite of the milky Way. The large Magellanic Cloud is at a distance of about 163 thousand light-years from our galaxy.
What is depicted in the picture? The picture depicts a region LHA 120-N 180B in the Large Magellanic Cloud. It refers to the type of nebulas known as H II region – these are the real nurseries of newborn stars.
The bubbles around newborn stars
H II region is a cloud of interstellar ionized hydrogen. It is noted that these areas are “star nursery” of newly formed massive stars responsible for the ionization of the gas that surrounds them. While they create beautiful pictures.
The feature of the form N180 B that the nebula forms a giant bubble of ionized hydrogen surrounded by four bubbles of a smaller size.
Deep in the depths of a bright cloud MUSE found jet, which came from the newly formed stars. And this is the first time such a jet is observed in visible light outside of the milky Way, the message reads ESO.
Dwarf galaxy, the Large Magellanovo Cloud
How did you manage to get such a picture? Note, the received using the Very Large Telescope of ESO. Have been involved in this receiver MUSE: feature of the device is that it not only builds the image, but also preserves each point of information about the emission spectrum.
