The Verkhovna Rada Committee on taxation and customs policy recommended the Parliament to adopt the bill No. 8557 on on amendments to the Tax code of Ukraine concerning the tax on capital is derived. This decision was taken at a meeting of the Committee on 10 April, reported his press service.
“Upon review, it was decided to recommend the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine the bill No. 8557 adopted as a basis”, – is spoken in the message.
4 Oct 2017 the Cabinet of Ministers approved the draft law “On amendments to the Tax code concerning the tax on the capital” and sent it to the National Council of reforms under the President. The Ministry of Finance published the main points of the document on its website. It was suggested to introduce NVK instead of income tax.
12 March 2018 at a meeting with businessmen Poroshenko has said that while it will not submit a bill to the Verkhovna Rada. The then Deputy head of the presidential Administration Dmitry shymkiv explained that the President has not submitted to Parliament the bill because of the position of the International monetary Fund. He noted that the Fund believes the increase in the deficit of the state budget is unacceptable and will agree to a tax on the capital only when the compensators are found loss.
July 4, 2018, the President introduced a bill on the tax on the capital in the Verkhovna Rada. The President stressed that the law can only enter into force together with the expansion of budget revenues.
