BP plans to appeal to the UN, PACE, NATO PA and the parliaments of other countries to condemn the systemic violations of the rights of indigenous peoples of Russia
During this plenary week the Verkhovna Rada plans to appeal to international organizations to condemn the pressure placed on indigenous peoples in Russia. The corresponding draft resolution may be included in the agenda for the meeting of Parliament on 14 April, the correspondent of RBC-Ukraine.
The initiators of the adoption of the resolution was made by about 20 people’s deputies. In particular, among them the head of Committee on foreign business Hanna hopko, head of the BPP Arthur Gerasimov and Deputy Chairman of the faction “popular front” Yuri Birch.
So, Parliament is planning to call the UN, PACE, NATO PA and the parliaments of other countries to condemn the systemic violations of the rights of indigenous peoples of Russia.
“The draft resolution No. 10125 – “On appeal of the Verkhovna Rada to the UN, PACE, the NATO parliamentary Assembly, the OSCE parliamentary Assembly, national parliaments of countries in the world according to the conviction of violation of the rights of indigenous peoples in the Russian Federation”- for inclusion in the agenda” – said on the website of the Parliament.
As he wrote RBC-Ukraine informed, the Parliament introduced a draft resolution №10125 on the treatment of BP to the international community condemning the violation of the rights of indigenous peoples in the Russian Federation.
According to the head of the Committee on foreign Affairs Hanna hopko, the Kremlin has stepped up the political pressure on the indigenous peoples on the territory of the Russian Federation.
In particular, we are talking about systemic violations of the rights of peoples of the North Caucasus, Idel-Ural, Siberia and other regions of Russia.
