In the Lviv region hospitalized 46-year-old patient with malaria, who recently returned from Uganda.

It is noted that a man with a diagnosis of “malaria,” was admitted to inpatient treatment in the Lviv regional infectious diseases hospital on 7 July.

“The patient had recently returned from Uganda, complained of fever. As it was known, came from the patient, he was immediately examined for malaria. In the study blood samples discovered the malaria parasite”, – stated in the message.

The Department added that the patient is in a state of moderate severity. He is a complex diagnostic and treatment activities under the Protocol of medical care.

Help. Malaria is an infectious disease characterized by acute and sometimes prolonged, periodic fever, enlargement of liver and spleen.

Malaria symptoms appear 10-15 days after the infective mosquito bite. The first symptoms – fever, headache – may appear weak, difficult to recognize as malaria.
