Britain and the United States as the Budapest Memorandum signatories, the need to attract to the negotiations on the occupied territories. This idea was expressed by Deputy Prime Minister for reintegration of the temporarily occupied territories Alexey Reznikov in an interview to “NV”.
“I’m positive to this idea because there is one story that began a long time to forget. It’s the Budapest Memorandum signatories, including the United States and the United Kingdom. It seems to me that as serious players in the international arena, as strategic partners of Ukraine, it would be nice if they could join the negotiations and to help Ukraine to restore our territorial integrity and sovereignty in the borders which are recognized as international”, – said Reznikov.
He focused on the need to create a new negotiation platform for the discussion of the Crimea.
On 24 July Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmyhal told about the final stage of formation of the concept of the international platform “Crimea is Ukraine”. The platform will initially have an Advisory format with the transition into the negotiation.
The foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said that the international platform on the issue of de-occupation of the Crimea will be representatives of Russia.
On 27 July, during a visit to Warsaw by foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said that Ukraine wants to see Poland as a participant in the upcoming international platform of de-occupation of Crimea annexed by Russia.
