The legendary Swiss tennis player Roger Federer failed to win the 101st singles title in his career.
The Swiss, who now holds fifth place in the ATP rankings, in the finals of Indian wells he lost to Austrian Dominic Tim.

In the first set, Federer twice made the break, which was enough to win the game. However, in the next set of 25-year-old Tim took one break to level the score in the match.
Thus the fate of the tie was decided in the third game. In the 11th game, Federer failed to defend his serve and allowed Tim to come forward. In the next game, the Austrian had served for the match.
The victory at Indian wells was the first for Tim in the tournament series masters. In turn, Roger Federer lost the chance to win his 101st title.
