In the online store Amazon UK has been seen the page yet unannounced racing game Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered. On the website there are only versions for Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, but early rumors pointed to the release of the reissues also on PC and PlayStation 4.
Apparently, Electronic Arts is preparing for the announcement of Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered in the near future. If you believe the information supplied by Amazon UK, the game will go on sale November 13, 2020. It is unknown whether it will be released on the Xbox and PlayStation Series X 5, but it is very likely.
Recall that Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit came out on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in 2010, and also on Wii, iOS, Android, webOS and Windows Phone. It was developed by Studio Criterion Games (Burnout series). The game is restarted, released in 1998 Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit.
The project offers not just competitive races for supercars, but the police chase. In Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit players can take the role of a racer or a policeman and go through both campaigns. The game received positive reviews from dozens of publications: average rating on Metacritic is 88 points out of 100 based on 73 reviews.
Interestingly, currently the new Need for Speed does just Criterion Games that Electronic Arts handed the fate of the franchise earlier this year.
