Thus Volodin said that the Ukrainian delegation disrupted the speech illegally elected to the state Duma “Parliament” of the annexed Crimea Ruslan Balbec on the UN forum on minority issues.
“The behavior of the Ukrainian delegation and an attempt to disrupt the speech of the Deputy of the State Duma, representative of the Crimean Tatar Ruslan Balbec on the forum of the UN devoted to the issues of national minorities, another demonstration of the intolerance of the authorities of Ukraine to small Nations,” he said.
Volodin considers that in Ukraine the rights of national minorities are constantly violated.
“Including the right to language, when Kiev adopts law on the Ukrainian language as the only state, and introduces a ban on the use of national languages in educational institutions. It is difficult to call a small people 36% of Ukrainian citizens who consider Russian their native language,” – said Volodin.
“The Ukrainian authorities should think why in 2014 the vast majority – more than 96% of the residents of Crimea and Sevastopol: Russian, Ukrainians, Crimean Tatars, Belarusians, Armenians, Azerbaijanis – “made a decision” about joining of the Russian Federation”, – he wrote.
