The Supreme court has left without consideration the claim of Sergey Semochko to the President about the illegality of the dismissal of the first Deputy head of the foreign intelligence Service (SVR), the press service of the Supreme court.
“24 June 2020 the Supreme Court, composed of judges from the Cassation administrative court left without consideration the claim of Sergey Semochko to the President of Ukraine, third person, not declaring independent requirements concerning a subject of dispute on the side of the defendant, the foreign intelligence Service of Ukraine”,- is spoken in the message of the court on the Facebook page.
The plaintiff asked to recognize illegal and to cancel the presidential Decree of Ukraine from April 12, 2019 No. 143/2019 his release from the post of first Deputy head of the foreign intelligence Service of Ukraine, and also to restore it in this post.
As reported, in October 2018, the program of anti-corruption investigations “Our money with Denys Bigus” published a story in which was told that the family of the first Deputy head of the SVR, the former head of the economic counterintelligence SBU Semochko has a house near Kiev worth millions of dollars, and his relatives have, in addition to Ukrainian and Russian citizenship.
The national anti-corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) has opened proceedings in the case of illicit enrichment, which involves Semochko.
October 16, 2018, the SBU reported that in the framework of the initiated at the request of the journalist Denis Bigus criminal proceedings under part 1 of article 111 of the Criminal code of Ukraine (high treason) tests published in the media in relation to Semochko.
Later in the decision of Shevchenkovsky regional court of Kiev, it was stated that counterintelligence of SBU confirmed: wife and daughter Semochko have Russian citizenship.
The consequence has addressed in court with the request to give access to the phone Semochko and his family for almost 5 years. The court granted the application allowing law enforcement agencies to investigate, in particular, was calling from Semochko, his wife and daughter.
10 June 2020 in the RRT said that the prosecutors of the attorney General’s Office announced the suspected fifth President Petro Poroshenko in the case of the appointment of Semochko for the position.
