The company SOCAR (state oil company of Azerbaijan, SOCAR) plans in June to send to Belarus a new batch of Azerbaijani oil.
“We are planning a tentative June 25-26 to send to Belarus a batch of oil from the Georgian port of Supsa, “- said “Interfax” the Deputy chief of Department on organization of events and public relations Department of SOCAR Ibrahim Ahmadov.
He said that the amount of this instalment will be 85-90 thousand tons.
As reported, Socar Trading (a subsidiary of SOCAR) in March-April have put the Belarusian concern “Belneftekhim” four shipments of oil totaling about 335 thousand tons through the port of Odessa and an oil pipeline “Odessa-Brody” to the Mozyr refinery. Of these, three parties, totaling about 250 thousand tons were shipped in March and one party the amount of 85 thousand tons in April.
According to “Belneftekhim”, the SOCAR can supply to Belarus in 2020 up to 1 million tons of oil.
Oil supplies from Azerbaijan to Belarus via the Odessa-Brody pipeline was carried out in 2011. The contract was for 4 million tons, but the actual volume of shipments amounted to about 900 thousand tons.
Oil supplies to Belarus South through Ukraine resumed due to the lack of imports from major Russian companies due to disagreements in price.
