Spain safe for both tourists and Spaniards, confident in the government. The reaction comes after Britain suddenly introduced a two-week quarantine of coronavirus for travelers returning from there that frightened vacationers.
This was stated by Minister of foreign Affairs of Spain Arantxa gonzález Laya, reports Reuters.
The government of Madrid is also trying to persuade Britain to exclude the Balearic and Canary Islands from the quarantine zone, the Minister said. She added that the prevalence of the virus in these places was much lower than in the United Kingdom.
“Spain is safe, it is safe for the Spaniards, it is safe for tourists,” said Lai told reporters.
