Frank-Walter Steinmeier on Thursday arrived in Greece first visit to this country as a German President. In the morning he met with his Greek counterpart Prokopis pavlopoulos a, and in the afternoon held talks with Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, who said that the visit of the German President will be a good opportunity to start a new stage in relations between the two countries.
“We must not forget or hide any differences that existed between us in the past. We must work together and with mutual respect to define the scope in which these differences will be resolved in accordance with international law, which we all respect,” said the Prime Minister of Greece Alexis Tsipras.
