35-year-old Ukrainian heavyweight Andrey Rudenko (32-4, 20 KOS) lost to German boxer Agito Cabelo (19-0, 13 KO’s) in a duel for a belt of the champion of Europe by the EBU.
Rudenko early in the fight inflicted many blows, but rarely hit the target. And in the sixth round Andrew has been knocked down – he got down on one knee after Cabal several times hit him in the head, and then added a kick to the liver.
In the rest of the rounds Kabaal looked much fresher than his opponent – Ukrainian largely worked the second number. As a result, the German victory in the 12th round by unanimous decision – 116-111, 117-110 and 119-108.
Previously held in 32 fights Andriy Rudenko lost only three times – the Australian, Lucas Browne, Briton Hughie fury (brother of Tyson fury) and the Russian Alexander Povetkin, with 20 times in his career he sent opponents in the knockout.
26-year-old German of Turkish origin Agit Kabaal held in 19 Pro fights and in all won victories, 13 times early.
