Changes in the health care system of Ukraine are resisting those who did for its ineffectiveness. This opinion was expressed on 18 may in Facebook acting Minister of health Suprun.
“Opponents of the changes have already stopped to think about transformation at the level of family medicine. But the lies spread by the levels of medical care, where changes had not yet begun. We are accused of the problems that have accumulated in the Soviet system for decades. Greatest opponents – those whom we deprive of opportunities to earn an inefficient system,” she wrote.
According to the acting Minister, “all the introduced changes constantly attacking with lies, manipulations, fakes”.
“The main goal is to spread fear and doubt to scare people. Our strongest weapon remains the truth,” said Suprun.
She noted that after independence, “Ukraine has not managed to get rid of inherited from the Soviet Union’s legacy of health care system”.
“The quality of medical services is low and patients are often treated as a source of income. Many people believe in the myth of free medicine. In order to rectify this situation, the first thing I must honestly tell the truth and not hide from it,” said Suprun.
