Sweden remained without a Prime Minister

Швеция осталась без премьер-министра

The faction of the center-right and extreme-right-wing on Tuesday joined forces during the voting in the Swedish Parliament for the vote of confidence to the Prime Minister, dismissing Stefan Leuven.

204 deputies out of 349 were against his candidacy for a new term. The question of a vote of confidence in the head of the Cabinet stood on the agenda, as Leven did not resign voluntarily, despite the fact that the results of elections on 9 September, his Social democratic party won a majority.

Immediately after the vote, the speaker of the Swedish Parliament Andreas Norlen said on Thursday began negotiations with leaders of parliamentary factions for the nomination of candidates for the post of Prime Minister.
