Synology has released a SSD under its own brand in the formats of 2.5″, M. 2 2280 and M. 2 22110

Synology выпустила SSD под собственной маркой в форматах 2,5", M.2 2280 и M.2 22110

Synology has announced the release SSD under its own brand. The list of novelties includes models of standard size 2.5 inches with interface SATA 6 GB/s and model sizes M. 2 2280 and M. 2 22110 PCIe.

Model 2.5 inch manufactured with capacity of 480 GB, 960 GB and 1920 GB. They are summarized in a series Synology SAT5200. For them, the declared resource of 1.3 complete rewrites per day over a five-year warranty period. Speed sequential read and write Synology does not.

On operations with random access blocks of 4 KB, the performance reaches 98 000 IOPS in read mode and 67 000 IOPS in recording mode. In these devices provides end-to-end protection paths of data, including protection against loss in the event of a power failure.

Series Synology SNV3400 and SNV3500 is presented one embodiment, the volume is 400 GB. It drives PCIe 3.0 x4, made in the form factor M. 2 2280 and M. 2 22110, respectively. The difference between SNV3400 and SNV3500 is that in SNV3500 have protection from data loss during a power failure.

The drives are optimized for workloads dominated by read. They are designed to 0,68 complete rewrites per day, and performance on reading operations reaches 205 000 IOPS. Recording capacity is significantly more modest 40 000 IOPS.
