One of the novelties will start in the beginning of March a motor show in Geneva, Switzerland will be cross-coupe Cupra Terramar. By itself, the brand is the sports division of the Spanish company SEAT, part of Volkswagen AG, and appeared only in 2018.
To date, the range of brands Cupra was represented by a single crossover Cupra Ateca, based on the eponymous SUV’s parent company. Now the manufacturer plans to present a completely new car created by own forces, but on the basis of existing in the group technical solutions.
According to preliminary information, the novelty will be created in the style of the SEAT 20v20 concept, first shown back in 2015 and which became the prototype for the modern corporate style SEAT.
It is expected that the Cupra Terramar will be created on a common platform with Cupra Ateca, using, in turn, MQB chassis, and the powertrain insiders expect to see boosted to 300 horsepower 2.0-liter gasoline engine, paired with a signature “robot” DSG seven ranges.
More information about the new product, as the timing of its appearance in dealerships in Europe, will be announced later.
