The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted the strategy of export development of agricultural products, food and processing industry of Ukraine till 2026. This reports the press service of the Ukrainian government.
Export strategy involves the development of a long-term state policy aimed at ensuring a stable increase in exports of products (goods, services, technology) domestic agriculture, the food processing industry.
So, the strategic directions of development of export of agricultural products will increase volume of production and increased supplies to foreign markets, diversification and change of the export structure towards increasing the share of products with high added value, geographical diversification of export directions (opening new markets) and expanding export opportunities for small and medium enterprises.
The document was developed by the Ministry of agrarian policy jointly with the Office of support for reform.
Earlier it became known that Ukraine in 2018, lost its status as the world’s third largest exporter of honey, the export of which from the country last year decreased by more than a quarter.
