Registry data cannot be changed on the basis of publications in the media or social networks.
The Central election Commission stated the legality of the registration of hundreds of voters at the same address.
It is noted that some media published the data concerning the frequent cases of registration of hundreds of citizens in one residential area that can allegedly testify about the preparation for vote rigging.
The CEC notes that on this issue and for the legal assessment of the situation, the Commission has repeatedly appealed to the competent authorities, including the State migration service.
“However, as reported in the letter of the State migration service from 23.10.2015 No. 6-6259/3-15 in response to the request of the Central election Commission for the implementation of the validation are presented in the GRI information about voters who have registered their place of residence in the city of Kiev in certain locations, the Law of Ukraine “On freedom of movement and free choice of residence in Ukraine”, adopted on 11 December 2003, do not set any limits on the necessary sanitary norms of living space for registration of place of residence and the number of registered persons in one dwelling”, – stated in the message.
Also, the CEC informs that the data of the state register of voters, monthly updated solely on the basis of information, periodic updates, served in the divisions of the register of subjects of representation.
In addition, the source of the change the registry data are data provided to the bodies maintaining the register of citizens of Ukraine on its own initiative for inclusion in the registry, or about changes in their personal data.
Specifies that all actions for updating registry data is carried out by authorized employees of bodies of the registry in pursuance of the orders of the leadership. Ground for issuing such orders are only granted in the prescribed manner documents, confirming the appropriate changes.
