The Central election Commission at meeting on 11 November registered the people’s Deputy from single-mandate district №198 Cherkasy region the independent candidate and Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of the VIII convocation of the Bloc of Petro Poroshenko Sergey Rudyk, informs a press-service of the CEC in Facebook.
“Having considered the relevant documents, the Commission registered the people’s Deputy of Ukraine elected at extraordinary elections of people’s deputies of Ukraine on July 21, 2019 in OIO No. 198, Rudyk Sergei Yaroslavovich,” – said in a release.
Rudyk re-acknowledged favourites on the district, he received a new temporary certificate of people’s Deputy and will be able to start performance of duties of the member after will take the oath at the Parliament session. According to the website of the Commission, he scored 18 921 votes, his nearest rival, the candidate on this district from “public Servants” Natalia Dyachenko, who challenged the voting results – 17 906.
On 5 August, the CEC approved the Protocol, according to which Rudyk was declared elected MP in the 198 th district. Then in the CEC reported that Rudyk scored 18 923 votes (of 28.92%) and Dyachenko – 17 908 (27,36%).
24 Aug cassation administrative court in the Supreme Court of Ukraine the claim Dyachenko has cancelled the Protocol on results of elections in the County.
29 Aug Glad IX convocation gathered for the first meeting, Rudyk refused to give the identity of the MP.
On 28-29 October, the Central election Commission conducted re-counting of votes in the district and acknowledged the victory Rudyk, although during the recount found “some discrepancies”. The CEC reported that these discrepancies do not affect the voting results.
Rudyk won the elections to the Parliament of the previous convocation in the same district.
