11 Feb prosecutors Kharkiv local Prosecutor’s office No. 2 submitted to the court indictment against the former counselor of ex-head of Kharkiv regional state administration. About it the press service of the regional Prosecutor’s office reported on 12 February.

The office does not call the name of the official. According to the newspaper Kharkiv Today, we are talking about Maria Andreas, who was the counselor the former head of the regional state administration Yulia Svetlichnaya for humanitarian Affairs and public relations on a voluntary basis.

According to investigators, the former official filed documents for participation in the competition for state service positions in the National Council of Ukraine on television and radio broadcasting, however, was not the result of profiling, as “it turned out that her degree is fake, what the Council is reported to law enforcement authorities”.

The woman chose a measure of restraint in the form of personal commitment.

In July, the national Council said that the competition for the position will be announced again as the winner was not determined, in September announced the results. This time the website of the regulator noted that the new winner will be appointed after undergoing special checks.

The decision of the Kyiv district court of Kharkiv on November 15, 2019 in this case indicated that Andreas has provided the Council a copy of the diploma issued by the National technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute” in 2003, but in the electronic Register of documents on education, a document of such series and number no, says Kharkiv Today.

Criminal proceedings opened under part 4 of article 358 of the Criminal code of Ukraine – “Use of obviously counterfeit document”. The sanction of article prescribes punishment in the form of a fine, arrest for up to six months or restriction of freedom for up to two years.
