Trial on the suit Sentsov delayed pending consideration of the case “against Ukraine”, with regard to the annexation of the Crimea
The European court of human rights accepted the claim wrongfully convicted in Russia Ukrainian Director Oleg Sentsov. This was stated by the head of the international human rights group “Agora” Pavel Chikov in his Telegram-channel, reports “UKRINFORM”.

According to him, the claim against Russia Sentsov says that he was had been a violation of article 3 (prohibition of torture), article 5 (right to liberty and security) of the Convention on the protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms. According to the report, the ECHR published a human rights activist, the Russian government proposed to 16 January 2019 to submit their observations on the admissibility and merits of the case.
However, the ECtHR has specified that the proceedings at the suit of Sentsov delayed pending consideration of the case “against Ukraine”, with regard to the annexation of the Crimea.
