As reported, the Cabinet at the end of the 2018, endorsed the action plan for synchronization of the United energy system (UES) of Ukraine with the European network of transmission system operators for electricity (ENTSO-E).
It is planned to provide: the ability of TES to work in ENTSO-E, the organization of communication channels for process management ECO, construction of overhead lines and substations, certification of transmission system operator (NEK Ukrenergo), the transition to standalone operation with power systems of countries that are not members of ENTSO-E (RF, Belarus), the involvement of international technical assistance.
ENTSO-E (European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity) was founded in 2009. It brought together 6 existing industry associations: ATSOI, BALTSO, ETSO, NORDEL, UCTE and UKTSOA. These included 41 system operator from 34 countries.
