American tennis player Amanda Anisimova will miss the U.S. Open. The reason for this decision was the sudden death of her father and coach Konstantin Anisimov.
According to the publication ESPN, Konstantin Anisimov was found dead on Monday, 19th August.
According to preliminary information, the cause of death was a heart attack. The victim’s family has not commented on the event.
17-year-old Anisimov was seeded at the U.S. Open under 24-m number. In 2017 she won the Junior US Open.
Anisimov is an American tennis player of Russian origin. She is the winner of one WTA tour singles titles, the former second racket of the world in the Junior rankings.
Over the last two years the way Anisimova and Ukrainian tennis players have crossed three times. In 2018 in Cincinnati American lost to Elina Svitolina. In Australian Open, Amanda defeated Lesya Tsurenko. In March of 2019 Anisimov lost in Madrid March Kostiuk.
