In Europe there are only four countries that do not support Ukraine in the issues of “Nord stream-2”. And they do so because it will have a direct benefit from the operation of new Russian gas pipeline

This was stated by the Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine on European integration Elena zerkal at channel 5.

“There are only four countries that do not support us. It’s all four countries, which are interested in the “Nord stream-2″ was built; which will receive a direct benefit from its operation. It’s Germany, England, Netherlands, Belgium,” – said Diplomate.

At the same time, she stressed that other countries, such construction is disadvantageous.

“The rest of the country understand that the construction of this pipeline, in fact, will change the gas market in the European Union and dominate in this market will be Germany. Therefore, there is a question as to what the South and the same Italy are not interested in the construction of “Nord stream-2″. Their position is clear and understandable,” – said the representative of the Ukrainian foreign Ministry.

Recall that all permits for the construction and operation of the pipeline “Nord stream-2” published in Germany, Finland and Sweden. But Poland, the Baltic States, Ukraine, Moldova, USA and Denmark – against the construction of the pipeline. Because it will increase the EU’s dependence on Russian Gazprom, which already supplies about a third of the volume of gas in the EU. Ukraine after the launch of “Nord stream-2” will lose not only the income from the transit of blue fuel, but also geopolitical leverage.

What is the “Nord stream-2”?This is a project of the gas pipeline from Russia to Germany that they want to build through the Baltic sea bypassing Ukraine. The construction of this pipeline has sharply condemned the United States, and the Commission stated that it violates the principles of transparency, non-discrimination and equal access.
